Raw performance, iconic styling, low production numbers, and that K Code mystique all combined to make the Hi-Po 2+2 one of the rarest and most desirable street cars on the planet.  If the collector car market was a poker game, you'd be holding  two fistfulls of blue chips with this particular car.




From its bare knuckle power train to its Trans Am soundtrack, the '66 K code 2+2 was set up to deliver an almost road race feel right off the showroom floor and packed just about all the excitement Ford offered in 1966.  From a driving standpoint, this car doesn't just push the performance envelope, it completely rips it apart.




The fit and gap uniformity on this car is flat out perfect with everything lining up as good as or better than new end to end.  As well, this car retains its as delivered sheet metal and original factory door data tag, with all body numbers matching down to the inner fender stamps.  



What made the Hi-Po Mustang so special was its 3 year only option window and ultra low production numbers.  This particular car is 1 of 5469 and 1 of 185 San Jose built K codes for 1966 making it one of the rarest performance cars from the Ford brigade in '66.  In a market balanced on supply and demand this car is nothing less than an investment slam dunk.


One repaint and PPG base cleared in its original code R Ivy Green Metallic, the finish on this car is a virtual house of mirrors end to end.  As well, this car retains all of its factory Carlite stamped (immaculate) tinted glass.





Virtually no expense was spared to make this interior as close to perfect as possible.  The dash chrome, the seat belts, the headliner... you name it, this interior is as new with everything in working order from the seatbelt warning light down to its factory clock that's been quartzed.



The '66 interior is a well though out,  comfortable office that fits you like the proverbial golf glove.  Interior options here include:  Deluxe seat belts with retractors, day/night mirror, tinted glass and windshield, fold down rear seat, Rally pac, disc brakes, and Top Loader close ratio 4 speed.
